Do you like when record companies make terrible choices?
Then read this: 20 Biggest Record Company Screw Ups of All Time I think I personally just like reading about other people’s mistakes. Very interesting Johnston history tidbit: in the ’40s, ’50s, and ’60s, my grandfather was VP of Decca Records. Their signed artists included Billie Holiday, Louis Armstrong, and the Rolling Stones, and they were the company that released “White Christmas” by Bing Crosby and “Rock Around the Clock” by Bill Haley and His Comets. Regrettably, though, they were also the company that shot down and refused to sign the Beatles, saying “the guitar sound is on its way out.” All facts. Geez, grandpa. Seriously.
